Scroll Text - Robert O'Conner - Pelican Writ 2017
Kingdom of AEthelmearc - Writ for Pelican
By the King and Queen of Sylvan AEthelmearc. Trusty and welbeloved Robert O'Conner, for as much as in certain matters that greatly touches and concerns the good will of Us, Our predecessors, Our successors, Our Lands, lordships and subjects, we have been inspired and struck in awe as to the quality and quantity of service which you have done for Our Kingdom and Society. We have had words with nobles beyond reproach, who feel that they have much in common with you, so We will and desire therefore that you accept this Writ from Our hands and charge you and command you to appear before Us on the occasion and date that you decide where and when you shall answer Our query, to wit, whether or no you shall take your rightful place as a Peer of AEthelmearc and join Our esteemed Order of the Pelican. Let this Writ act as a warrant for safe passage to any and all places within Our domain, and let him feel Our wrath if any does dare stay you from your journey. Done by the hands of Marcus and Marguirete, on the day of Our first Court, the 24th of September, AS 51, in Our Shire of Herontier.
inspired by Privy Seal Letter {Draft) to serve as a Letter of Credence to the royal Commissioners for raising a forced loan, with a departmental direction as to the style of Address to be employed (21 July, '22 Edward IV).
