Kingdom of AEthelmearc - Service Award
Like the heart of a lion, the heart of Vigo da Napoli beats with the blood of a warrior and his skills of a swordsman should never be in doubt. But here, in the presence of Our subjects, We will and desire to speak of the less violent service of this man. In the presence of nobles who has seen Vigo's serivce and of commoners who have benefited as well, We would speak of his "set up boots", worn before tournaments to set the lists straight. Of his "washing up boots", worn to clean pots and pans in the kitchen. Of his "taking out the garbage boots", the soles of which have been worn away to nothing. It is thus Our will and desire to decree that he, by virtue of his service and his lion-like heart and furthermore by example of courtesy and nobility We, Titus Scipio Germanicus and Anna Leigh, King and Queen of Sylvan AEthelmearc, do admit him into Our Order of the Keystone and award him every right, honor and duty. Knowing that all these said things are valid by law and edict, they shall be recorded by Our Heralds so as not to be forgotten. Done on the feast of Saint Agapetus, this 20th day of September, AS 49, in Our Barony Marche of the Debatable Lands
